Went to watch 'Phantom of the Opera' this week. My first musical and its one of those musicals which im most familiar wif since sec sch days. Some parts of 'Phantom' was so super cool and i feel like im totally immersed into the show and the characters. Some parts were gimmicky tht u feel like ure watchin a magic show. Love several moments of the musical. But sad to say our Esplanade stage is abit too small. Its so interesting to look at how the props change into the next scene each time. Overall, i think its quite good but the singing can be improve tho. Brad Little (the Phantom)'s singing was so good in my opinion tho my sis still thinks tht the Phantom cast for England was much better. n yes, she watched tht way back few years ago in England which im so absolutely jealous abt it! the Christine's singing i heard is a disappointment of all. shes not in her best but still better than the Christine frm movie version in terms of acting. Her broadway experience really prove it all. Raoul on the other hand is suave like his character. So good-lookin, can!N really loud cheers and applause frm us, the audience when the musical ended. Phantom, the actor is so cool he deserved the loudest =)
I think workin at Esplanade is even way cooler than workin at a pharmacy.
Just imagine u get to watch free musical everyday n dont get 'scolded' for nth.
The Esplanade ushers i met there were so smartly-dressed and are all so courteous and helpful leading us the way to our very own seats. Good service frm them, really. =)
I managed to buy this Phantom silver necklace for 20bucks at the souvenir stall. Wanted to get the mug instead which will show a glowin mask when the mug is filled, but I didnt get it bcoz i thought i use more water bottle at home than a cup or a mug.
The Zuelig deliveryman is such a random guy, he popped me random qns suddenly.
but hes oh-so-sweet considering he helped me carry my boxes of bunky Pharmacy-only med despite jokin wif him abt carrying it for me. ahah.
