Woot~ I so damn love the pop/punk princess who performed Live at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last nite. avril and her band totally rawk the stage! hardcore!
Not the first concert i've been to but it was my first punk rock concert. thts a rocker pls. im gonna say if simple plan were to hold their concert next week and not last week i wldnt mind goin seriously. like hello, we dont always get a chance to see live band performing in Singapore, whether it is punk or rock or metal. im "addicted" to real live band performance. =D
Yesterday was hardcore. me and my sis were preety suay b4 we head to indoor stadium coz practically we ran onto 2 stupid retarded taxi drivers. one of em' din wanna drive us. one of em' was rude and kept playing melancholic classical which kinda makes me wanna fall aslp. wad a pms driver he is! argh. sheesh.
After we reached the indoor stadium, we saw tis star lounge which was so damn cool! i rmbed the last time i went there wasnt any, ah not tht i noe of or mayb coz i din paid attention to it. then we went q-ing up at the North side to get in. it was omg! long q! longer than i-dunno-wad, u name it! quite alot of cheena and ang mo. kinda like goin for an international concert. it was so not like those previous concerts tht i've went to, tis time theres loads of securities lining at the entrance ready to check our bags and body check(exaggerating), felt more like travelling than watching a concert. treating us like illegal immigrants. tsk! then aftertht, we went to the merchandise store selling avril and pug jelly stuffs. u might be wondering why pug jelly coz they are the special guests. ha. but we din buy any stuff coz its kinda ex for an over-sized shirt to cost 35 bucks huh? damn not right. then later we went to find our seats. tot we cld be sitting kinda far behind but its not the case. im even more infront than iylia who WON tix on 'morning madness'. at least God gave me some justice here. ha..mine was row 17 seat 5 and 6. ironically iylia was also at the North side but i din see her. tsk!
At 8 sharp when ppl are still coming in, the lights went off then we tot wth its starting so early?! then disappointing it was pug jelly! like CHEY! lOlx! i wonder if daphne was there to see masashi. hahahs. nth special abt pug jelly's performance, its juz plain punk..thts wht i hate abt excessive punk. boring! no rock element and they sound the same. sian! after 25 mins, they stopped. toilet break. then they played some ulu rock songs i've hear b4, matchbox twenty and keane. iylia gave me a missed call, i called back then asking each other where we were sitting, the part when i wanna turn back and find her, the lights went off again, the gig abt to start. crap! even the phone engaged. zz!
I had my binoculars there! LOL! no fear of the distance. and of coz my binoculars is the portable, small ones and pls not the ones for sight-seeing, the guy beside me actually carried tht. omg! Cldnt stop screaming for avril!! she dyed blonde tis time. love one of her guitarists. hes so cuteee! and hes blonde and let me tell ya i got tis fetish for blondes =) <3 him lahs! wheee! the first few warm-up songs which she sang was too gd, was disappointed wif her 'My Happy Ending'. despite it being the begining few songs and warm-up for her, wont blame her. she made up for the majority of her songs. shes the gal man! -thumbs up- the crowd at the stadium was crazeee! my side and the ppl in the East was crazeee! had loads of fun and kick last nite. the crowd moved throughout after she sang 'Im With You'. theres tis part of the song which avril let us sang in unison, whoa man. i went home to listen the replay coz my sis recorded it down. it was awesome! its like the fans were really united. =) then avril did her usual songs, unplugged wif one of her guitarists. i enjoyed most is the part when we sang 'sk8ter boi' where most of em' stood up and jumped wif the song. damn happening lahs! theres tis mly guy whos 2 rows infront of me, he actually waved wif his lighter on! its juz craze! and i tell ya a trick, u dont really need a lightstick when ure in concert, thts not very "in" for english rock concert, if u really need light! use the light frm ur phone. ;)
Ard ten, there was encore, one of the guitarist sang tis song which sounded like U2's Elevation but its not. argh! wads the song man??! then avril did the drums section for the song, iylia said avril's cute there. ha..the guitarist can really sing man. WOOHOO~ love his voice! ;) heh..and damnit theres only 1 encore, i heard simple plan's gig did 3 ENCORES!? like 3??! but tho it ended ard the same time as us. it ended ard 10.15pm.
I was suffering frm a bad throat tis morning prolly coz of the screamings and singing-along sessions, luckily it got better tis afternoon. Thank Goodness! =) now im suffering frm the withdraw symdrome of avril's concert, all i did was humming and playing her songs all whole time. gonna miss her performance loads! =)
I REPEAT i like the 'do-u-think-i-care?' kinda attitude in a star. dont probe.
